Remedy Drive

On December 12 Concordia University, Nebraska will host a concert by Remedy Drive. The event was organized in part by Concordia’s Lighthouse Club.

Lighthouse Club is an anti-human trafficking awareness and advocacy club at Concordia. It is an official college chapter of the International Justice Mission, which is a non-profit that funds, brings awareness, advocates and actively works in communities to bring justice for victims of human trafficking.

Lighthouse Club is leading the Dressember awareness and fundraising campaign during the month of December. During the event, women wear dresses and men wear ties every day to raise funds and awareness in the fight against human trafficking.

“Our goal is for more people to learn and have a heart for this mission. Human trafficking is one of the darkest realities of our world. Lighthouse seeks to shine a light on the issue. God seeks to free us from all chains, physical and spiritual. This concert and event is just one way that we can join him in this fight.”

Remedy Drive is a Christian contemporary/rock band that runs an anti-human trafficking non-profit called Daylight United. The band has worked to end human trafficking in locations around the world.

Remedy Drive and Lighthouse Club are looking to bring the Concordia community together and bring more campus awareness to the issue.

Lighthouse Club president Brynn Holtmeier said, “Our goal is for more people to learn and have a heart for this mission. Human trafficking is one of the darkest realities of our world. Lighthouse seeks to shine a light on the issue. God seeks to free us from all chains, physical and spiritual. This concert and event is just one way that we can join him in this fight.”

The concert will be held on December 12 at 7 p.m. in Weller Hall. A band from The Rock Lutheran Church in Seward, Nebraska will open for Remedy Drive. Concert tickets can be purchased at go.cune.edu/remedydrive25. The concert is supported by Cattle Bank, and all proceeds go to support Daylight United and International Justice Mission.
