Concordia greets new students with LAUNCH

Concordia’s LAUNCH for new students, part of the orientation program at the university, took place Aug. 23-25. The weekend was designed to help students get to know each other, the Concordia community and Seward while settling in to their new campus homes.
Orientation events on campus for new students included meals, games and campus-wide activities with dorm neighbors and First Year Experience classmates. Informational sessions and a celebratory farewell dinner were organized for parents who made the trip to help sons and daughters move in.
The weekend ended with a worship service on Sunday to officially open the academic year and welcome new faculty, staff and students. The public was invited to attend the opening service at St. John Lutheran Church.
