Concordia’s annual Football Fan Appreciation Day featured a tailgate meal and family activities on Saturday, Sept. 20 between Bulldog Stadium and the Walz fieldhouse. The Concordia vs. Midland football game followed the events at 1 p.m. in the stadium.

“Fan Appreciation Day is an opportunity for Concordia to demonstrate our gratitude for the many individuals who actively support our students,” said Director of Athletics Devin Smith. “We are proud to partner and engage the faculty, staff, student body, community, alums and parents as we strive to exhibit a first-class student-athlete and fan experience.”

The event included a bounce house, inflatable slide, temporary Bulldog tattoos and time with Bruiser the Bulldog, Concordia’s mascot. Meal options included hot dog combos for $3 or brat combos for $4. Combos included chips, a dessert and a drink.

Concordia was proud to celebrate this year’s Football Fan Appreciation Day in partnership with Verizon Wireless. Verizon had a booth set up at the game on the upper concourse and provided a half-time activity for Bulldog fans.

Also playing on campus on Sept. 20 was the Concordia volleyball team, with the varsity team hosting Mount Marty at 11 a.m. in the Walz Arena.
