Concordia A Cappella Choir to perform 2026 home concerts

Concordia University, Nebraska’s University A Cappella Choir will wrap up their spring 2026 tour with two home concerts on Sunday, March 22. 

The first concert will be held in the York High School auditorium in York, Nebraska, at 3 p.m. The York High School Chamber Singers will open for the A Cappella Choir, singing under the direction of Concordia Nebraska alumnus Trent Bruntz ’22.

The second concert will be held in the sanctuary of St. John Lutheran Church in Seward, Nebraska, at 7 p.m.

The concerts are the conclusion to the choir’s 12-day spring tour across Wyoming, Utah, California, Nevada and Colorado which took place March 5-16.     

The choir is under the direction of Concordia Nebraska Music Department Chair and Professor of Music Dr. Kurt von Kampen and is accompanied by Professor of Music Dr. Elizabeth Grimpo

The concerts are free and open to the public. A free-will offering will be taken at intermission.

Concordia University, Nebraska’s music department prepares students to glorify God in their vocations in the church and world through the study and performance of music.
