The University Chamber Choir visited sunny California on its annual tour.

Concordia’s University Chamber Choir visited the West Coast for a five-day tour Feb. 9-13. The choir performed six concerts in three cities including Bakersfield, Victorville and Long Beach, Calif.

The choir performed at churches of Concordia alumni and also stopped at Crean Lutheran High School in Irvine to perform. Crean’s high school choir joined Concordia’s singers for several selections in the performance for the school.

“I’m was excited about the chance to return to Southern California with the Chamber Choir. We toured there about six years ago and had a very positive response from alumni, prospective students and general music lovers!” said Dr. Kurt von Kampen, professor of music.

Church venues included Saint John Lutheran Church in Bakersfield, Zion Lutheran Church in Victorville and Bethany Lutheran Church in Long Beach, Calif.
