Bulldogs tie for first in conference

The Concordia University women’s track and field team tied for first, while the men’s squad placed fourth at the GPAC Outdoor Championship Meet over the weekend in Hastings. The Bulldog women scored 158 points to tie with Doane College. Throughout the day the outlook for which team would claim the championship title was in question, making for a dramatic day of track and field.
“Our women’s team had a tremendous effort to claim a share of the conference championship,” commented Kregg Einspahr, head coach of the Bulldogs. “We were not projected to be close to Doane in the team scoring before the meet started, but our women came out and gave tremendous effort. It was a pretty interesting day with with so many things happening with each event," added Einspahr. "With every event there were changes in the outlook for the team championship. It was very intense and emotional. It really was something else."
