Bulldogs are No. 27 in final Directors’ Cup standings

Concordia University is ranked No. 27 in the final 2009-10 NAIA Learfield Sports Directors’ Cup standings. The awards annually recognize the best overall athletic department in each NCAA division and in the NAIA. Points were awarded based on each institution's finish in up to 12 sports.
Concordia picked up 61.5 points with a 14th place finish at Nationals by the women’s outdoor track and field team. The men’s outdoor track and field team placed 24th at Nationals to earn 48.5 points. Concordia has totaled 417.50 points for the year.
Morningside College (15th place with 519.83 points) is the only GPAC school ranked ahead of Concordia in the Directors’ Cup standings. Azusa Pacific (820.00 points) is the overall leader in the standings. The final spring NAIA standings were released June 23, in conjunction with the 2010 Learfield Sports Directors’ Cup luncheon taking place at the NACDA Convention.
