Art department offers Saturday morning art sessions for 2013 elementary students

The art department at Concordia invites elementary students to participate in Saturday morning art sessions. The sessions, taught by Concordia students majoring in elementary education, encourage youth in pre-kindergarten through sixth grade to learn about and create art.

The sessions are divided by age group. Each session is led by an elementary education major enrolled in the Methods of Art Education course. Art majors, members of Concordia’s art club and art department faculty and staff also assist with each class.

All sessions run from 9 to 11 a.m. A $5 registration fee per student is required to cover the cost of supplies. Each session had 25 seats available. Register online at cune.edu/saturdayart. Registration will remain open until the day of each session.
