Art classes for elementary and middle school students will be held throughout the fall 9-11 a.m. on Saturday mornings in the Brommer Art Center on Concordia’s campus.

The art department at Concordia invites elementary students to participate in Saturday morning art sessions. The sessions, taught by Concordia students majoring in elementary education, encourage youth in pre-kindergarten through sixth grade to learn about and create art.

The sessions are divided by age group. Each session is led by an elementary education major enrolled in the methods of art education course. Art department faculty and staff also assist with each class.

“Our elementary education majors have the privilege of sharing their knowledge, love for Christ and care for others through their interaction with children from our community,” said Art Department Chair Donald Robson.

All sessions run from 9 to 11 a.m. The classes will be held on Concordia University’s campus in Brommer Art Center, room 123. A $5 fee per student is required for registration and supplies. Each session has 25 seats available.
