Recently, the Foundation of the Nebraska Society of CPAs awarded scholarships to five Concordia accounting students. The scholarships are awarded to accounting majors with high GPAs who are on a CPA track, and who are planning to practice accounting in Nebraska once they graduate.

Todd Johnson, interim Dean of the College of Business & Technology, who helped nominate scholarship winners along with Dr. Andy Langewisch, Chair of the Department of Business, commented on the characters of the award winners. “These students show resilience, a willingness to serve, they understand and accept living at a higher standard, and overall, they’re just fun to be around!”

Chloe Wells, a senior scholarship recipient said, “I’m incredibly grateful to have been given this scholarship. I am thankful to the Nebraska Society of CPAs for giving students an opportunity to be recognized for their dedication to the accounting profession. Concordia’s business professors are always encouraging and pushing us students to excel in our studies. Specifically, I'm thankful for Professor Johnson and Dr. Langewisch for being incredibly helpful throughout the application process.”
