Student Activities Council

The Student Activities Council has a serious job: making sure no one at Concordia spends Friday night alone in his or her room. The purpose of SAC is to plan and implement activities to entertain and promote the social and spiritual well-being of the Concordia University student community.

SAC puts together dances, coordinates activities for the holidays, brings in musicians and comedians and bands, organizes campuswide games, and sponsors Homecoming and Spring Weekend activities. SAC is affiliated with the National Association for Campus Activities for contacts and connections on possible entertainers, groups and activities to bring to campus. SAC considers the interests, time and schedule of students as well as the traditions, community and purpose of the campus when they make activity choices.

Those interested in becoming a member of SAC can apply and interview at the end of each semester. Membership in SAC is a one-year commitment but members may remain on the council on a semester-to-semester basis. The council has up to 16 members.
