Alpha Phi Sigma

Alpha Phi Sigma is the only nationally accredited Criminal Justice Honor Society, which recognizes both undergraduate and graduate students of Criminal Justice as well as Juris Doctorate students. Concordia University, Nebraska established its own chapter, Phi Epsilon Eta, in the 2019-2020 school year.

Students who are studying Criminal Justice as either a major or minor are eligible for acceptance into Concordia’s chapter of Alpha Phi Sigma. To become a member, students must have completed three full-time semesters and four Criminal Justice courses, have a minimum of a 3.2 GPA, with a 3.2 minimum GPA in their Criminal Justice courses and rank in the top 35% of their class. A one-time $70 fee is also required for acceptance. Once a student is part of Alpha Phi Sigma, they remain part of the organization for life. This is a great opportunity for students to stand out in their resumes when searching for future positions or admittance to graduate programs.

Alpha Phi Sigma strives to promote academic excellence, community service, educational leadership, and unity. In addition to offering scholarship opportunities for students, Alpha Phi Sigma also hosts an annual National Conference for all members to attend. Our CUNE chapter will focus on giving back to our community through service events alongside the Law and Justice Club.

Honor society meetings are held once a month at 6:30pm. Please email kathy.miller@cune.edu
or edward.hoffman@cune.edu if you’re interested in becoming a member!
