A Life Called

Concordia University, Nebraska invites you and your family to explore our church work programs at "A Life Called" - our church work visit event.

While attending "A Life Called," you will be able to:

  • Learn about our five church work programs (Director of Christian Education, Director of Parish Music, Lutheran Teacher, Pre-Deaconess, Pre-Seminary),
  • Sit in on church work classes and learn alongside current students,
  • Engage with our church work faculty,
  • Tour campus and see the residence halls and
  • Learn about financial aid opportunities.

If you are traveling from far away and will be here Sunday morning, we can provide a list of churches to visit and places to go for lunch.

Additional Information

  • All housing, meals and activities are free for students.
  • Students will be paired with a “host student” that they will stay with Sunday night. Students should bring their own pillow and a sleeping bag. If flying in, let us know so we can provide bedding. 
  • Mileage reimbursement can be given to groups of 3+ students.
  • Admitted students who fly in can be reimbursed $200 and we can pick them up at the Lincoln or Omaha airport.  
  • Parents are encouraged to participate in this visit event, but will need to find their own overnight accommodations. Hotel options in Seward:
