Optimism abounds in the preparatory month of August for a 2021 Concordia Football team that league coaches have pegged for fifth place in the GPAC. The Bulldogs will kick off the season at Morningside.
In the 2021 GPAC Preseason Football Coaches’ Poll revealed on Monday (Aug. 9), the Concordia University Football team landed at No. 5 while totaling 62 points in the poll.

A second team All-American last season, Lane Napier has been named to the College Football America NAIA Starting Lineup this preseason. Napier is a four-time first team All-GPAC performer.
Having already been named to a CoSIDA Academic All-District selection, Concordia Football's Jonah Weyand has been upgraded to an Academic All-America selection.
