Dan Ball completed his second season as goalkeeper coach for both the Concordia University men’s and women’s soccer programs in 2017. Ball serves on the staffs of head coaches Jason Weides and Greg Henson.
With the help of Ball's teaching, sophomore goalkeeper Lindsey Carley enjoyed a big first season as a starter. She earned GPAC Defensive Player of the Year accolades while helping the Bulldogs to an outright conference regular-season title. Ball has also tutored all-conference goalkeepers in Jack Bennett, Mark Horsburgh and Chrissy Lind. Lind earned second team all-conference honors while Horsburgh garnered honorable mention accolades in 2016. Bennett picked up second team All-GPAC recognition.
A graduate of Milligan College in Tennessee, Ball previously served as an assistant coach at Milligan, where he also worked closely with the team’s keepers. In addition, he assisted at the Premier Goalkeeper Academy Camp.
Ball started all four seasons during his playing career at Milligan. He helped the Buffaloes to two Appalachian Athletic Conference titles while earning all-conference recognition three times. He served as team captain for two years. The native of Chatham, England, received his bachelor of arts in political science with a minor in English from Milligan. He is pursuing a master’s in business administration from Concordia.
Dan is the son of Carl and Melissa Ball.
