Founded in 1894 by the The Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod, Concordia University, Nebraska is a private, coeducational institution of higher learning located in Seward, Neb. (population 6,500). Concordia is committed to providing excellent professional and liberal arts programs in an environment that richly supports the Christian growth of its students.

Accreditation

Concordia University, Nebraska is accredited by The Higher Learning Commission and is a member of the North Central Association (see also: Concordia's accreditation page at NCAHLC.org).

Additionally, Concordia has received accreditation in the following areas:

  • Teacher education: The university's teacher education program is accredited by the National Council for the Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE).

  • Music: The music program is accredited by the National Association of Schools of Music (NASM).

  • Business: Concordia's Bachelor of Science degrees in business administration, accountancy, business communication, marketing, and management information systems and the Bachelor of Arts degree in business administration and their minors and concentrations are accredited by the International Assembly for Collegiate Business Education (IACBE).
