About Concordia

Founded in 1894, Concordia University, Nebraska is a Christ-centered learning community for students preparing to be servant leaders in the church and world. Concordia is ranked in the top tier of its division in U.S. News & World Report’s “America’s Best Colleges” edition.

A member of The Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod (LCMS), Concordia is a private, coeducational institution of higher learning located in Seward, Neb. (population 6,500), and committed to the Christian growth of its students through rigorous academic, spiritual, emotional and physical pursuits.

Accreditation


Concordia Univeristy, Nebraska is accredited by The Higher Learning Commission and is a member of the North Central Association (see also: Concordia's accreditation page at NCAHLC.org).

Concordia is approved by the Nebraska State Board of Education through the Committee of Educational Examiners of the Nebraska Council on Teacher Education for the preparation of elementary, secondary, early childhood and special education teachers. The teacher education programs are accredited by the National Council for the Accreditation of Teacher Education. The music programs are accredited by the National Association of Schools of Music (NASM).
