Concordia’s “Weekend of Welcome” for new students, part of the orientation program at the university, took place Aug. 24-26. The weekend was designed to help students get to know each other, the Concordia community and Seward.

“Weekend of Welcome is a fantastic way for our new students to be introduced into the Concordia family,” said Charles Gebhardt, director of student life and student activities. "The WOW events include a total immersion of fellowship and fun with many opportunities to meet new and returning students and begin to cultivate life-long friendships."

Orientation events on campus for new students included meals, games and activities with dorm neighbors and First Year Seminar classmates. Informational sessions and a celebratory farewell dinner were held for parents who made the trip to help sons and daughters move in.
