Rev. Micah Gaunt, member of Concordia's class of 2006, delivered the chapel message on Founders Day.

Concordia commemorated Founders Day on Friday, Nov. 16. The day honored the founding of Concordia through a special chapel service and alumni reception. The guest speaker for the service was Rev. Micah Gaunt of Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Ravenna, Neb.

A graduate of Concordia in 2000, Gaunt studied secondary education and taught high school for three years in Houston, Texas, before attending Concordia Seminary, St. Louis, to become an ordained minister.

The celebration also included a short presentation on the history of Concordia and Founders Day, presented by Dr. Jerrald Pfabe, professor emeritus of history and university archivist.

Following the service, refreshments were available for students and chapel guests throughout campus.
