Angela (Onstine) Harris '04 Serves Through Counseling

From the steps of Weller Hall all the way to England, Concordia graduates are making an impact around the world. While a student at Concordia, Angela (Onstine) Harris '04 studied abroad in London which inspired her affection for England and the desire to serve in the world.

Originally from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Angela hadn't traveled abroad, or even been on a plane before her semester in London during her junior year. While there, she met the man who would become her husband, Peter Harris.

Following her graduation from Concordia, Angela and Pete planted a church in Camden – a borough of London. While working and living there for five years had its challenges, the couple also welcomed two children.

In 2013, they relocated to Norfolk, England, to a tiny village called Barnham Broom. Through friends met at church, Angela learned about a master’s in counseling with a Christian organization called Waverley Abbey College.

Angela received a master's in counseling from Waverley Abbey College and now has opened her private counseling practice. She works as an integrative counsellor with an approach that is driven by compassion and respect rooted in a belief that all people have inherent worth and deserve to be loved.
