Concordia's home men’s and women’s basketball scheduled for Saturday (Jan. 13) versus Dordt has been postponed. The makeup date will be February 5, 2024.
The 11th-ranked Bulldogs jumped out to a 16-0 lead and made it a 101-60 rout of Doane on Wednesday (Jan. 10). Kendal Brigham went off for 24 points and Concordia sank a school record 20 3-point field goals.
Fresh off back-to-back new year victories, Head Coach Drew Olson’s squad will clash with Doane on Wednesday (Jan. 10) and 1-ranked Dordt on Saturday afternoon. The Dawgs have won four straight, after running through two conference rivals this past week.
So far in 2024, the 11th-ranked Bulldogs have been a second half team. On Saturday (Jan. 6), they used a starring performance off the bench from Abby Heemstra and a dominant third quarter to defeat DWU, 69-61.
Sadie Powell spurred the offensive surge and Abby Krieser set the tone defensively as the 11th-ranked Bulldogs gritted out a 69-63 win at Jamestown on Wednesday (Jan. 3). Concordia avenged an earlier home defeat.
The Bulldogs will enter 2024 surging back into conference play with a rematch in Jamestown on Wednesday (Jan. 3) night. After returning home, they will step on the hardwood in front of the Bulldog faithful, hosting Dakota Wesleyan on Saturday (Jan. 6).
Twelve Bulldogs registered in the scoring column in what became a rout on Tuesday (Dec. 19) afternoon in Glendale, Ariz. The pace and tenacity of 11th-ranked Concordia led to an 86-61 win at Arizona Christian.
After making the drive to the deserts of Arizona, the Bulldogs squared off against a physical Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University (Ariz.) on Monday (Dec. 18) night.
Concordia has two games left in 2023, starting with Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University (Ariz.) on Monday night (Dec. 18), then finishing with Arizona Christian University the day after (Dec. 19).
Struggles at the start and end of game resulted in Concordia slipping up at Briar Cliff, 74-66, in Sioux City, Iowa, on Saturday (Dec. 9). Taysha Rushton helped lead a comeback from 17 points down in the second quarter.
