Following a dominant performance by Concordia throwers at the 2016 indoor national championships, assistant Ed McLaughlin garnered a national coaching award.

The Concordia track and field teams finished the NAIA Indoor Championships in the top five after a three day event. The men placed third with 58 points while the women finished fifth with 43 points.

A total of 10 Concordia men’s and women’s track and field athletes were named All-Americans after the second day of the NAIA Indoor Championships, including Cody Boellstorff who won the title in the men’s weight throw.

The fourth-ranked Concordia men’s and women’s track and field teams finished day one of the NAIA Indoor Championships Thursday afternoon. The Bulldogs competed in five different events over they day.

The Concordia men’s and women’s track teams, both ranked fourth in the country, will be traveling to Johnson City, Tenn. for the NAIA Indoor Track and Field National Championships this week.

Concordia track and field has announced its group of 31 athletes who will travel to next week's NAIA Indoor Track and Field National Championships. The event will run March 3-5 in Johnson City, Tenn.

Assistant coach Ed McLaughlin has guided four Concordia throwers to national titles in recent seasons. On Thursday he received due recognition as the Midwest regional assistant coach of the year.

Chalk up more honors for Zach Lurz and Kim Wood, who on Thursday collected regional honors from the USTFCCCA. Both broke GPAC records last week at the conference indoor championships.

For the second time this season, senior Kim Wood has been named the NAIA National Indoor Track Athlete of the Week. Wood is fresh off four GPAC titles at last week's conference meet.

Kim Wood raked in another major honor and a total of 39 Bulldogs were officially recognized as all-conference performances for Concordia track and field.
