Top of the class: the national surge

For Concordia, ending a school wide team national championship drought that carried on until May 2015 took the collaboration of a special group of people. It’s this year’s senior class that really took the lead.

  • After breaking the school record in the hammer throw yet again, Cody Boellstorff has picked up his second national weekly award of 2017. A senior from Waverly, Neb., Boellstorff is a three-time national champion.

  • Concordia's highly-rated track and field squads swept team titles at the NAIA Midwest Quad hosted by Grand View University on Friday (April 14). Bulldog athletes accounted for 11 event titles and Cody Boellstorff broke his own school hammer throw record.

  • Athletes representing Concordia track and field combined for five new automatic national qualifying marks and six event titles at the Reiver Open hosted by Iowa Western Community College.
