Call for Third-Party Comments: CAEP Accreditation Visit
Concordia University, Nebraska’ s Education Preparation Programs (EPP) are undergoing a national accreditation review by the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP). An accreditation team will conduct a site visit on April 20, 2026.
As part of this process, we invite interested third parties to submit written comments directly to CAEP about the quality of the professional education programs we offer.
Who Should Submit Comments?
CAEP welcomes feedback from parties who can speak to the quality of our programs, including:
- Concordia Program Graduates
- Present or Former Faculty
- Employers of Concordia Graduates
- P-12 Partners
- Other Stakeholders
What Your Comments Must Include
Your feedback must specify your relationship to Concordia University, Nebraska (e.g., "I am a 2018 graduate," "I am an employer of your elementary education graduates," etc.).
Comments should be based on the core tenets of CAEP accreditation, which focus on evidence that:
- The EPP’s teacher candidates know their subject matter.
- The EPP’s teacher candidates teach effectively, resulting in student learning.
- The EPP develops and maintains effective school partnerships and high-quality clinical practice.
- The EPP recruits, monitors, and supports high quality candidates.
- The EPP uses assessment data and stakeholder feedback to engage in continuous program improvement.
How to Submit Your Testimony
All written comments must be submitted before March 1st to ensure review.
