Speech & Debate Facilities

Concordia’s forensics program's dedicated offices and classroom space give you the arena to research, craft and rehearse your speeches, to help other members of the team improve and hone their craft and to just relax and be in a comfortable environment so you can perform at your best.

Our home is Weller Hall

While some forensics programs share classroom space, we have dedicated rooms in Weller Hall, where we can work on our upcoming speeches, homework or just relax. We even have a quesadilla maker for when hunger strikes.

As we competed virtually in the 2020-21 season, we also made good use of the one-touch video recording/streaming studio located in the Dunklau Center, making it easy for us to compete and put our best work in front of the judges.

Throughout the season, we'll practice in our space in Weller, or go to the Dunklau Center to perform a showcase and as a way to get more comfortable speaking in front of a large crowd.

Concordia's Speech & Debate Team

The forensics program's corner of Weller Hall includes spaces to practice individually or as part of a group, conduct research, a meditation room and a general hang-out area, as well as coaches’ offices. Here, you can craft your speeches, help your teammates improve or just relax as part of the team.
