Concordia has begun an organ-building project with Casavant Frères, the oldest continuing name in organ building in North America. This page will present the latest information and photos of the project until its scheduled completion in 2008.

Project update

Trucks to arrive in Seward April 22

    The new organ is scheduled for completion by early June 2008, and notice has been given for the arrival of the organ in Seward on April 22.

    Pre-installation: The new organ will be built completely built in Casavant's shop in Quebec and then disassembled and shipped to Seward for reassembly.

    Installation: The installation on campus will take approximately seven weeks, the first 3 weeks for the organ The next four weeks will be spent doing the voicing and tonal finishing of the instrument.
