Student artists prepare for exhibit
Student artists at Concordia are evaluating their pieces in preparation for the annual student art exhibition. The exhibit opens at the Marxhausen Gallery of Art on campus Sunday, April 18, with a reception from 1-4 p.m. and an awards presentation beginning at 2 p.m.

Pastor shares vision for thriving Christian faith in Bethlehem
The Rev. Dr. Mitri Raheb is a Palestinian Arab Lutheran pastor based in Bethlehem. While that combination may seem like an odd mix, as Raheb will gently remind you, "Arab" does not equal "Muslim." And while there are more Muslims than Christians in Bethlehem these days, it is the town where Christianity got its start. So did Raheb, for that matter. He was literally born across the street from where Jesus was born.

Osten Observatory offers week of star-gazing
For five consecutive nights this spring, the public can see the wonders of the night sky through the Osten Observatory telescope at Concordia. The observatory will be open each evening, April 18- 22, from 8 - 9:30 p.m., if the sky is clear. If it is cloudy at the time the show is supposed to begin, the viewing will be canceled.

Concordia hosts Gathering of the Talents
Almost 1,600 talented kindergarten through eighth grade students will converge on Concordia's campus for the 66th annual Gathering of the Talents on Saturday, April 10. The students represent more than 40 Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod churches, elementary and middle schools from Nebraska, Kansas, Missouri, Iowa and South Dakota.
