Ryan RaileyConcordia University, Nebraska men's basketball coach Grant Schmidt announced May 19 that the Bulldogs have added transfer Ryan Railey to the Concordia program.

Last year the 6-2, 175-pound guard played a key reserve role for Northeastern Junior College (Sterling, Colo.). The Plainsmen finished the season with 22 wins.

Railey was a three-year starter at Woodland Park High School (Colo.). During his senior season, he averaged 11.5 points, 2.96 rebounds, 1.72 steals and 2.72 assists.

Railey had several memorable performances for the Panthers including connecting on the game-winning shot to lead his team to the second round of the Colorado state playoffs.

"We're excited to add Ryan to our program," said Schmidt. "He had an outstanding high school career at Woodland Park and was well coached at Northeastern. Ryan is an excellent shooter and moves well without the ball. He's a guy that defends and knows how to make his teammates better."

Concordia finished the 2008-09 season in the semifinals of the Great Plains Athletic Conference basketball tournament with a record of 20-12.
