The Concordia University men's cross country held strong with a No. 6 national ranking while the women dropped a place to No. 13 in the latest editions of the NAIA National Cross Country team rankings released Tuesday.
Both teams were idle this past weekend.
"We have two solid teams that are receiving some national recognition," said head coach Dr. Kregg Einspahr. "Both teams are off to a good start and have high goals set for themselves. It is tremendous that other coaches are recognizing our teams as among the best in the NAIA, however we have a long way to go with this season and I think our best races are still ahead of us."
The Bulldogs will travel to McCook Lake, S.D., to take part in the Briar Cliff Invitational on Saturday, Oct. 11.
