The Concordia University spring athletic teams took advantage of the good weather for a full schedule of events. Following are the results from a busy Saturday of Bulldog athletics.
Men's Tennis:
The Bulldogs dropped two matches on Saturday, the first to the University of Sioux Falls, 9-0. The Bulldogs dropped the second match to Morningside College 5-4. The next action for the men comes on April 24 as the Prairie Wolves of Nebraska Wesleyan come to Seward, Neb. with a 4 p.m. start.
Women's Tennis:
The Bulldogs picked up two victories of usual GPAC powers Saturday, winning the first match against the University of Sioux Falls, 5-4 before defeating Morningside 9-0. The next action for the women comes on April 24 as the Prairie Wolves of Nebraska Wesleyan come to Seward, Neb. with a 4 p.m. start.
Softball:
The Bulldogs easily swept two games away from Dordt College on Saturday in Sioux Center, Iowa. The Bulldogs won game one 10-3 before taking game two 11-4. In game one the Bulldogs were led by Kendall Burgess who went 2-for-3 with a homerun and five RBI. In Game two the Bulldogs used long balls from Clarissa Eloge, Samantha Hellbush, and Anne Royuk to cruise to the victory.

Baseball:
The Bulldogs split with Dordt College on Saturday in Sioux Center, Iowa. The Bulldogs blew out the Defenders in game one 9-0 as Jacob Schaffer picked up the complete game victory, allowing only two hits and three walks while striking out six. In game two the Defenders got the best of the Bulldogs 4-0.
