MSOC: Busha resigns post

Concordia University, Nebraska Athletic Director Grant Schmidt announced Tuesday that the Bulldog men's soccer coach Art Busha resigned his post to return to teaching and coaching at the high school level in Buckeye, Ariz. Busha will continue to serve at his post at Concordia through June. The search for a replacement will begin immediately.

Art Busha finished his third year as the head men's soccer coach for the Bulldogs in 2007. Coach Busha has over 18 years of soccer coaching experience.

"I want to thank Coach Busha for his years of service to Concordia University," Schmidt said. "The student-athletes under his watch achieved many successes on and off the pitch. We wish him the best."

Before coming to Concordia Busha coached at LeTourneau University in Longview, Texas, an NCAA Division III school. He also was a member of the kinesiology department faculty at LeTourneau. The Western Washington University graduate earned a master's degree in athletic administration/PE supervision from Washington State.

His coaching resume includes stints at the high school level in Washington, California and Ecuador. Busha has several National Soccer Coaches Association of America diplomas.

Busha and his wife Cindy have three sons, Sean, Luke and William.
