Over 220 division II women's basketball players from across the country have been named 2008 Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes. Student-athletes must be nominated by their head coach, have achieved junior academic status and maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale. Concordia University, Nebraska had nine players named NAIA Academic All-Americans:

Concordia led all Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) schools with the nine selections; second place in the GPAC went to Hastings College (Neb.) with seven selections.
The Bulldogs finished the season with an overall record of 26-7 (13-6) after being eliminated from the NAIA Div. II National Women's Basketball Tournament by the College of the Ozarks (Mo.). Of the Bulldogs seven losses, five came from teams participating in the final four of the national tournament.
