Concordia University Men's Soccer Coach Art Busha announced that Alex McKamy of Millard West High School will play soccer for the Bulldogs beginning next season.
"I am very excited to have Alex join the Concordia University soccer team this coming fall," said Busha. "He is a goal-keeper who has displayed shot-blocking ability, and one who plays with intelligence. He works hard and will bring a strong work ethic to our team."
McKamy brings an impressive resume with him to Concordia as an athlete as well as a student. An All-State honorable mention as a sophomore and member of the Arsenal Hibernian club team that won the Nebraska State Championship in 2007. Mckamy also excelled in the classroom as a two year member of the National Honor Society and as a four year member of the honor roll.
"I'm excited to have a keeper who played for a solid high school, like Millard West and who played for one of the top clubs in the Nebraska, in Arsenal Hiberian," added Busha. "He will challenge our present keeper and make an impact. I look forward to see him get stronger and better here at Concordia."
