Concordia University head football coach Courtney Meyer has announced that Patrick Tyrance III of Lincoln, Neb., will play for the Bulldogs next season.

"We are excited to have Patrick join our program," said Meyer. "Coach Frost has does a great job at Parkview. So we know Patrick has been well coached."

Tyrance brings an impressive resume with him to Concordia as an athlete as well as a student. A two-time first team All-District and honorable mention All-City selection, Tyrance also excelled in the classroom as a three year member of the National Honor Society. He plans to major in psychology and sociology at Concordia.

Tyrance, at 6-1, 170 pounds, played quarterback, linebacker and safety in high school and has a pedigree for football. His father Patrick Tyrance Jr. played linebacker for the University of Nebraska in the late 1980s and early 1990s and briefly in the NFL.
