The Concordia softball team was picked to finish fourth in the 2008 GPAC preseason coaches poll. The Bulldogs finised the 2007 season 26-23 (14-9 GPAC) and were the GPAC tournament champions. Points were assigned on a 12-1 basis and coaches' could not vote for their own team. The Bulldogs received 111 points including one first place vote.
The GPAC softball season will once again consist of 24 games and conclude with the GPAC Postseason Tournament on May 1-2 at the Smith Softball Complex in Hastings, Nebraska. The NAIA Region III Tournament will be hosted by the GPAC and Morningside College at the SYA Softball Complex in Sioux City, Iowa, May 7-9.
The Bulldogs open up the season Feb. 22 in Olathe, Kan. as part of the Mid America Nazarene Tournament. The first game of the tournament begins at 10 a.m.
