MBB: Bulldogs fall in first round of CIT

The Concordia University men's basketball had its rough skid continue Friday night when they took an 82-61 defeat at the hands of Concordia University, Wisconsin Falcons in the first round of the 57th annual Concordia Invitational Tournament at the Geiseman Gymnasium in River Forest, Ill.

The Bulldogs' (8-13, 3-7 GPAC) struggles with shooting continued. They were 16-for-45 Friday night from the field and 9-for-25 from three-point land.  The Dogs were also out-rebounded 46-28.

Senior guard Benjamin Buhr led the Bulldog offense with 22 points, helped by 4-of-7 shooting from three -point territory. Freshman point guard Tyler Bredehoeft pitched in with 11 points off the bench.

The Falcons were led by Steve Huenink with 21 points, and David Lipanot added 19 points for Concordia Wisconsin.

The Bulldogs will play today at 2:15 p.m. in the consolation game against Concordia University Ann Arbor. This game is a rematch of last year's championship game.
