The Concordia men's basketball team dropped a tough 94-85 loss to the University of Sioux Falls Cougars on Saturday afternoon in GPAC action at the Stewart Center in Sioux Falls, S.D.

After trailing 39-35 at halftime the Bulldogs were able to make a surge and take a two point lead at 56-54 with 11:54 remaining in the second half. The lead was short lived as the Cougars came right back and drained a three to answer and take the lead for good as the closest the Bulldogs would come after that was six with 6:34 remaining.

Senior wing Scott Hannon led the Concordia offense with 23 points on 8-of-18 shooting from the field and hitting on 4-of-10 three pointers. Hannon also pulled down six rebounds. Senior Benjamin Buhr added 17 and Sophomore Dustin Weber contributed 14 to help spur the Bulldog scoring attack. A bright spot for the Bulldogs was that Concordia hit on 21-of-22 free throw attempts on the game.

The Cougars were led offensively by Matt Mallow who went for 22 points and eight rebounds.

Next action comes on Tuesday evening as the Bulldogs welcome the Warriors of Midland Lutheran College to the Doghouse for a 7:30 p.m. tip off.
