Concordia University, Nebraska Women's Basketball Coach Drew Olson announced that Megan Allison of Cross County High School will play basketball for the Bulldogs beginning next season.
"Megan has a great outgoing personality and is an extremely hard worker," said Olson. "Megan has the competitive drive to win. I am really excited to see what she will bring to this team on and off the floor. I think she will be a great fit with our players and our style of play."
Allison brings an impressive resume with her to Concordia as an athlete as well as a student. A three time All-State and All-Conference selection, as well as being named the York New-Times female athlete of the year in 2007, Allison also excelled in the classroom as a three year member of the National Honor Society and as a four year member of the honor roll.
"She is a difference maker," added Olson. "She is a true scorer that can beat you so many different ways. She is quick with good ball handling skills to take a bigger defender off the dribble, but she has great size and solid post moves if they put a smaller player on her. Then what really hurts you is how good of a shooter she is."
