Concordia University cross country and track coach Dr. Kregg Einspahr  announced that Anna Meyer (Seward, Neb.) has signed a letter of intent to join the Bulldogs.

Meyer, a Seward High School student-athlete and daughter of current Head Football Coach Courtney Meyer, has been a consistent contributor of both the cross country and track squads of the Blue Jays. As a junior at the 2007 Nebraska State Track meet she placed 6th in the 3200m race. As a senior this fall she was the 2007 Central 10 Conference Cross Country Runner-up and the 2007 Nebraska B-3 District Cross Country Champion.

"Anna is a tremendous addition to our program as an athlete, student, and leader," said Einspahr. "She is known throughout the region for her leadership, thoughtfulness, and friendship toward her teammates and competitors from other teams.  As a track and cross country runner she has potential to be very competitive at our conference and national level."

Meyer will join a Bulldog cross country team that finished 15th at the NAIA National Championships in 2007. Concordia's Women's Cross Country team has a streak of 14 straight years of finishing in the top 20 in the nation.
