The Concordia University, Nebraska women's basketball team picked up a 90-56 win over the Concordia-Portland Cavaliers in the opening round of the Pacific Northwest Lutheran Invitational Tournament being hosted by Concordia-Portland and Pacific Lutheran University in Portland, Ore.

The Bulldogs (4-0) will face Pacific Lutheran University in the championship game of the tournament on Saturday, Nov. 17 at 6 p.m. (PST). Pacific Lutheran was a 64-16 winner of Texas Lutheran in the opening game of the event.

In the battle of Concordias the Bulldogs had five players score in double figures, including a game-high 20 points by junior Danae Koopman. Koopman was 7-of-11 shooting including 3-of-6 from behind the three-point arc.

After leading by just nine at intermission, the Bulldog offense erupted for 53 points in the second half behind 62.1 percent shooting. For the game Concordia-Nebraska shot 55.9 percent from the field.

In all 10 different Bulldogs scored in the contest. Also in double figures in points were Whitney Stichka (12), Stacy Scheer (11) and Jenni Lovegrove (10).The Bulldogs also dominated the boards, out-rebounding the Cavaliers 43-26. Liz Bauer grabbed a game-high seven caroms while Libby Hirssige had six.

Danielle Clauson led the Cavaliers with 11 points while filling her stat line with two rebounds, steals, assists and blocks. She was the only Concordia-Portland player to reach double figures.
