The Concordia University, Nebraska men's soccer team wrapped-up their season with a win on Saturday night, blanking Mount Marty College, 3-0, on a chilly senior/parent's night at Bulldog Stadium. Five seniors where honored before the game, including Noah Enke who started in goal and finished his final game with a clean sheet.
The Bulldogs jumped on top during the 21st minute on a goal by freshman Arturo Vega off a nifty pass by senior Andrew Nelson. It was the 15th goal of the season by Vega who was tied for the most goals in the GPAC coming into the game.
Concordia played the majority of the match on the Lancer side of the field, and out-shot Mount Marty 20-5. The Bulldogs final two goals both were scored by Alex Jorgensen. Jorgensen scored off assists by Vega and senior Dan Graumann.
Things got interesting in the final three minutes as two red cards were handed out, one to Mount Marty on a hard foul and another on the Bulldogs.
Concordia finishes the season with an overall record of 4-14-0 (4-8-0 GPAC).
