The Concordia University, Nebraska women's golf team finished fourth at their own meet, the Concordia Invitational, on Saturday in Seward, Neb. This was the final meet of the season before the GPAC Championships.
The 18-hole meet, played at the Seward Country Club, featured eight teams and 35 golfers. The tournament was played on a unusually warm day, with temperatures in the mid-80s.
Concordia finished the tournament in fourth place as a team, shooting a total of 388. Hastings College took the team title with a 351, 10 strokes better than the next best team, Briar Cliff University (361).
Kate Becker of Midland Lutheran won the individual title by virtue of a tie-breaker with Danielle Bernt. Both linksters finished with an 85.
The Bulldogs entered a pair of teams in the meet, with the "B" team finishing in eighth place with a total of 423.
Among those participating on the Concordia "A" squad, Chelesa Karmann led the way, carding a 92. That was good enough to tie for 11th place. The next best finish for Bulldog golfer was Corrie Johnson who took 16th with a 96.
