Touchdown Concordia - File photo from Dana game 2007The Concordia University, Nebraska football team is receiving votes in the first regular season poll of 2007. The NAIA Top 25 Poll was released on Monday, Sept. 10, from the NAIA National Office in Kansas City, Mo.

The Bulldogs garnered 12 votes in the latest poll. Four different GPAC teams are ranked in the top 25 while Concordia and Hastings were both among the teams receiving votes. The complete poll can be found at www.naia.org.

Concordia opened the season with a 36-23 win over Briar Cliff and went on the road this past weekend to defeat Dana College 38-2. Senior running back JaMaine Lewis has paced the Bulldogs offensively with back-to-back games of 150-plus yards.

The Bulldog defensive has also been stingy against the run, allowing just 42 yards to Briar Cliff while limiting Dana to negative 12 yards rushing.

Concordia is scheduled to take on Midland Lutheran College at Bulldog Stadium on Saturday, Sept. 15, at 1 p.m.
