The Concordia University, Nebraska men's soccer team is still searching for their first win, suffering a pair of setbacks this week. On Wednesday the Bulldogs dropped a tight contest, 2-1, to York College, before falling by the same score to Ottawa University on Friday night at Bulldog Stadium.

The Bulldogs (0-5-0, 0-0-0 GPAC) played short handed for over half of the game after a red card to Alex Jorgensen at the 32:08 mark.

Despite being a man down Concordia was able to score a goal as senior Tyler Barry scored on a Kraig Hein corner kick to tie the game, 1-1. York scored what proved to be the winning goal with one second left in the first half.

Neither team was able to score in the second frame.

Against Ottawa both teams struggled to find the back of the net throughout the first half, playing to a 0-0 tie. The Braves opened the scoring in the second half as Andy Moore scored on a free kick to the back corner of the net.

Ottawa stretched their lead to 2-0 with just over 20 minutes left in the game. The Bulldogs cut into the lead with 10 minutes left, as freshman Anthony Reichwaldt scored of a pass from Richard Rattray. An all-state goalkeeper at Lincoln East, Reichwaldt, played forward for most of the game showing his versatility.

The Bulldogs open conference play on Sept. 5 as they travel to Sioux Center, Iowa at 3 p.m.
