In another down-to-the-wire battle, the Bulldogs got a go-ahead goal from Miguel Navarro and saw out a 2-1 victory at Mount Marty on Saturday. Concordia moved to 6-1 while narrowly missing out on a fourth straight clean sheet.

As a close to the nonconference portion of the regular season, the Bulldogs grinded out a 2-0 win that included a goal apiece from Carlos Orquiz and Matt Schultz. Concordia limited visiting Bethany College to three total shots.

For the second time in three weeks, and for the third time in his career, Federico Simonetti has been named the GPAC Defensive Player of the Week. Simonetti earned shutouts last week in wins over both York and Bellevue.

Two nonconference wins over in-state foes lead into matchups this week with Bethany (home) and Mount Marty (away). Head Coach Jason Weides has guided the Bulldogs to a 4-1 start.

Concordia fended off 17 corner kicks, battled its way to a clean sheet and got an 83rd minute PK goal from Carlos Orquiz in the process of taking a 1-0 win from Bellevue on Saturday (Sept. 10). The Bulldogs moved to 4-1 on the season.

In perhaps the most commonly held rivalry in the history of Nebraska collegiate soccer, Concordia defeated York, 2-0, in a physical grinder. The Bulldogs got a goal apiece from Dominic Abdel-Ahad and Carter Hinman in the win.

Two familiar in-state nonconference foes are on the docket this week for Concordia, which is prepping for a road game with York and its first home appearance on Saturday. The Bulldogs defeated Tabor in their most recent outing.

A 3-0 advantage melted down to a one-goal lead in what became a tense game down the stretch at Tabor College. In the end, the Bulldogs held off the Bluejays behind three unique goal scorers and moved to 2-1.

After a return from Oregon, and a little rest and recovery, the Bulldogs are prepping for a matchup with 2021 national qualifier Tabor College. Concordia defeated the Bluejays, 4-0, last season in Seward.

For his performance in last week's shutout of Northwest, Federico Simonetti has been named the GPAC Defensive Player of the Week. Simonetti has now earned the award twice in his Bulldog career.
