Coming off a blowout win over Briar Cliff, Concordia Football hopes to build off that momentum as it takes on No. 14 Dordt on Saturday. The Defenders own a three-game win streak in the series.
Eight different Bulldogs scored touchdowns in a 61-21 home opening rout of Briar Cliff on Saturday (Sept. 11). Concordia came up with five turnovers and four sacks and DJ McGarvie threw four TD passes.
Concordia will be happy to put last week behind it as it looks forward to its home opener versus Briar Cliff on Saturday. The Bulldogs are 15-3 all-time against the Chargers, who are 0-2 to begin the 2021 season.
The 2021 season opener resulted in a decisive victory for third-ranked Morningside, which piled up 652 total yards. The Bulldogs fell by a 63-7 score in Sioux City, Iowa, on Saturday (Sept. 4).
A major challenge awaits the Bulldogs in week one as they prepare for a primetime matchup with No. 3 Morningside. Concordia is vying for its first-ever win at Elwood Olsen Stadium.
