After a disappointing outing on Wednesday, the 23rd-ranked Bulldogs got loose in transition on Saturday (Jan. 8) on the way to an 88-71 home win over Dakota Wesleyan. Carter Kent led a group of four double-figure scorers with 19 points.
Even a 35-point night from Carter Kent couldn't save the 23rd-ranked Bulldogs in Yankton on Wednesday (Jan. 5). Concordia saw its four-game league win streak snapped in the 70-67 overtime loss at Mount Marty.
No. 23 Concordia kept atop the GPAC standings with the help of a New Year's Day win over Doane. The 14-3 Bulldogs now focus their attention on a road trip to Mount Marty and a home game versus Dakota Wesleyan.

The 2016-17 Concordia men's basketball team set a new school standard for scoring behind All-American Chandler Folkerts and sharpshooter Eli Ziegler. The team's 21 wins were the most for the program since 2004-05.
