2025-26 Concordia Men’s Basketball Schedule
SEWARD, Neb. – The countdown to the 2025-26 Concordia University, Nebraska Men’s Basketball season starts now. As of the middle of June, the program has officially announced its 28-game varsity slate for the upcoming campaign. The new season will tip off at Graceland University in Lamoni, Iowa, on Oct. 25. The first home appearance of 2025-26 for Head Coach Ben Limback’s crew is set for Nov. 7 at the 26th annual Cattle Classic.
The ’25-26 season will mark year 13 for Limback at the helm of his alma mater. The Bulldogs are coming off a 2024-25 run that saw them reach the second round of the NAIA national tournament while wrapping up with a 26-7 overall record (16-4 GPAC). The program has appeared at the national tournament in four-straight years and in five of the past six seasons. Concordia will say goodbye to high-impact veterans Noah Schutte, Tristan Smith and Brad Bennett. The Bulldogs will be led by a class of juniors-to-be in Hayden Frank, Brooks Kissinger and Jaxon Stueve, as well as senior-to-be Zac Kulus.
Eight nonconference contests are lined up for this winter. The opponents for the Tabor Classic (Oct. 31-Nov. 1) will be host Tabor along with Wayland Baptist University (Texas). As part of the home opening Cattle Classic (Nov. 7-8), Concordia will take on Oklahoma City University and Clarke University (Iowa). The final nonconference games of the season will then take place in December. The Bulldogs will head to MidAmerican Nazarene University (Kan.) for a Dec. 19 matchup. The two sides met in Friedrich Arena last season (an 89-55 Concordia win). Just before New Year’s, the Bulldogs will play at the University of Saint Francis Classic in Joliet, Ill., where they will go head-to-head with Governors State University (Ill.) and host Saint Francis. The Saints of the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference won 25 games and qualified for the national tournament this past season. The season opening opponent, Graceland, was also a 2025 national qualifier.
The 20-game conference schedule is slated to get underway on Nov. 15 with a visit from Waldorf. The most hectic month in terms of home games will be January when Concordia will host five GPAC foes. Clashes with defending GPAC champions in regular season titlist Dordt (Dec. 13 / Jan. 24) and postseason titlist Morningside (Jan. 7 / Feb. 7) will be contests to circle. The regular season will conclude on Feb. 21 with a road game at Hastings.
Dates for the GPAC tournament are Feb. 25 for the quarterfinals, Feb. 28 for the semifinals and March 3 for the championship game. The first and second rounds of the NAIA national tournament will play out March 13-14 with action at the final site at Municipal Auditorium in Kansas City, Mo., locked in for March 19-24.
