Brooks Kissinger and the Dawg offense came alive in the second stanza shooting a white-hot 73.3 percent from the floor to pounce on Governors State, 83-70, at the St. Francis Fighting Saints New Year’s Classic on Wednesday.
After a rough finish to the first half, the Bulldogs responded by shooting 75 percent in the second half in Tuesday (Dec. 30)'s 89-81 win at St. Francis. Freshman Jacob Duitsman posted a career-high 16 points.
The break ends this week as the Bulldogs look forward to playing three games in a five-day stretch. Concordia will take on St. Francis, Governors State and No. 17 Northwestern.
In taking to the road outside of league play, the Bulldogs regained their offensive efficiency and toppled MidAmerica Nazarene, 101-88. Dane Jacobsen and Brooks Kissinger poured in 24 points apiece.
Following two conference road defeats, the Bulldogs will dip outside of league play for their next three outings. Next up, Concordia will head to MidAmerica Nazarene for action on Friday.
Zac Kulus poured in a career-high 21 points in leading the charge in Sioux Center on Saturday (Dec. 13). Dordt countered with a 42-30 rebound advantage and 13 treys and won, 84-71.
It was one of those nights on the road in the GPAC. The seven-game winning streak fell by the wayside with an 82-67 loss endured at the hands of Midland in Fremont on Wednesday (Dec. 10).
For the third time in 2025-26, junior guard Brooks Kissinger has been named GPAC Player of the Week. Kissinger led the 24th-ranked Bulldogs to home wins last week over Doane and Dakota Wesleyan.
Concordia will ride a seven-game winning streak into Wednesday's road matchup with Midland. The first-place Bulldogs (5-0 GPAC) will also play at Dordt on Saturday.
Superior sharp shooting launched the Bulldogs into the lead in the opening half as the home squad dropped 18 treys from almost 50 percent from three inside Friedrich Arena on Saturday.
