    Agabin records two pins at DWU Open

    There were few takeaways from the Dakota Wesleyan Open as the Bulldogs entered only five competitors into the tournament. Most notably, Isaac Agabin recorded two pins in action on Saturday (Nov. 13).

  • Dominant performances from Mason Garcia and Jacob Telles helped salvage the night to some degree as the Bulldogs hosted Hastings in their 2021-22 home debut. The Broncos wound up winning, 29-17, on Thursday (Nov. 11).

  • Jose Sanchez, Tavoris Smith and Mozes Valenzuela Smith combined for five wins while leading the Bulldogs at the Dan Harris Open on Sunday (Nov. 7). Sanchez paced the team with three wins.

  • Among the highlights of the preseason ratings, Bulldogs Mario Ybarra and Jacob Telles appeared in the NAIA national rankings. As a team, Concordia landed at No. 4 in the GPAC ratings and received votes nationally.

  • Myron Bradbury has been hired to take the reins of the Concordia Wrestling program. The former Lindsey Wilson Associate Head Wrestling Coach replaces Levi Calhoun, now Assistant AD at Concordia.

  • Also an NWCA Scholar All-American, Mario Ybarra has been chosen as a CoSIDA Academic All-District award winner. Ybarra earned All-America honors in 2021 and studies computer science.
