Concordia Track & Field will be represented at the Drake Relays and the Prairie Wolf Invite as part of this week's action. The Bulldogs have entered five athletes in individual events and five relays into the 2022 Drake Relays.
Cade Kleckner broke a program record that had stood for 25 years and was one of four Bulldogs to achieve fresh 'A' standards at the Dutcher Memorial Classic. Concordia athletes also combined for eight event championships.
Jordan Koepke hurdled her way to GPAC Track Athlete of the Week honors. Her first career GPAC weekly award came following her automatic national qualifying performance in the 400 hurdles at the Loper Invite.
The yields from a Good Friday (April 15) spent at the Loper Invitational included two fresh automatic national qualifying performances courtesy of Chase Berry and Jordan Koepke. Cade Kleckner also came close in the 200 meters.
Among the highlights at the 2022 Concordia Invite, the women's 4x8 broke the stadium record, the women's 4x4 qualified for nationals and Chris Wren popped off a big personal best in the hammer throw.
The first home meet of the 2022 outdoor season is coming up this Friday and Saturday as the Bulldogs will host the Concordia Invite. Eleven different colleges/universities will be represented at the meet.
An NAIA leading performance in the pole vault paved the way for Josie Puelz to earn the GPAC Athlete of the Week honor for the third time in her career. Puelz cleared 12’ 7 ½” at the Central Nebraska Challenge.
In the first full-scale meet of the 2022 outdoor season, members of the Concordia Track & Field team combined for seven automatic national qualifying marks. Those efforts came Saturday (April 2) at the Central Nebraska Challenge.
